Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership – Jump Start

Jump Start Clubs is a programme supporting young people aged 8 -14 years old whom may have chaotic home lives, struggle to stay in school or may be known to the police. We provide them with weekly activity sessions, in a supported environment where they feel safe and valued and have a voice – the young people are able to shape how the club is run, better understand the impacts of their behaviours and feel included. The sessions are an important positive opportunity for building life skills that allow them to better cope with daily life challenges. We currently run clubs in Taunton, Bridgwater, Highbridge, Yeovil and Chard. The session in Chard takes place in the sports hall at Holyrood Academy during term time.
