The two towns were formally linked in 1980, but unofficial links go back to the early 1950s.
If you join us, you will have the opportunity to:
– learn about a different culture and lifestyle and share experiences, perhaps creating lifetime friendships, as some members have done;
– have guests from Helmstedt stay with you;
– travel to Helmstedt, stay with a German family and visit interesting places and towns; and
– be part of a social group which during the year enjoys quizzes, coffee mornings and other social and fundraising events.
We are open to people of all ages and interests. Come and join us! Membership is just £10 per year and is not restricted to residents of Chard.
